Become a youth mental health first aider via online virtual classroom training. This course is suitable for adults who are looking to support young people aged 8 - 18 years. MHFA England youth courses are an in-depth look at mental health and the factors that can affect young peoples wellbeing. This course will give you in-depth skills to recognise and provide first aid to a young person who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or crisis, eating disorders or self-harm. See the full youth mental health first aid course outline.

This is the MHFA England training, lead by MHFA England accredited Instructors.  At the end of the training you will get a certificate to say you are a Youth Mental Health First Aider and join a community of over 5 million people worldwide who are trained in mental health first aid skills.

For face to face youth mental health first aid training courses see: Public Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses.

The online course is split into four manageable sessions and learning is divided between self-lead learning and live interactive sessions;

We guide learners through the course with presentations, group discussions and activities. Participation within learners comfort zones is actively encouraged discussion and exploration of the topics.

We have a tech support on each course to ensure we can keep everyone supported whilst learning. We also limit youth MHFA course numbers to a maximum of 14 people.
