Become a youth mental health first aider via online virtual classroom training. This is an in-depth look at mental health and the factors that can affect young peoples wellbeing. This course will give you in-depth skills to recognise and provide first aid to a young person who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or crisis, eating disorders or self-harm. See the full youth mental health first aid course outline.

This is the MHFA England training, lead by MHFA England accredited Instructors.  At the end of the training you will get a certificate to say you are a Youth Mental Health First Aider and join a community of over 3 million people worldwide who are trained in mental health first aid skills.

The course is now available for the first time online via virtual classroom training.

For in-person youth mental health first aid training courses see: Public Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses.

The course is split into four manageable sessions and learning is divided between self-lead learning and live interactive sessions;

Self-lead learning format (approx 6 hours)

An intuitive and interactive platform which guides you through learning via videos, work book activities, quizzes and manual reading.

Live sessions (4 x 2.5 hour sessions)

Facilitated by two Mental Health First Aid Instructors via the MHFA England online learning hub platform which is easy to use and access. We guide learners through the course with presentations, group discussions and activities. Participation within learners comfort zones is actively encouraged and we welcome all questions.

We have a tech support on each course to ensure we can keep everyone supported whilst learning. We also limit youth MHFA course numbers to a maximum of 14 people.

Pricing - See course dates below for course specific pricing.

Please note MHFA England value this training at £300pp and we subsidise this to offer reductions.

Pay by instalments - If you are self funding your place you have the option to spread the cost via monthly direct debits - this is a free service to make the course as accessible as possible. If booking through your place of work you can pay on invoice or via card or BACs transfer.

Whats included - Detailed MHFA England manual, MHFA England workbook, action card and lanyard. Certification which is internationally recognised upon completion.

Please note course capacity is limited so we can keep the training effective.

You must attend all four live sessions and complete the self lead learning to be signed off as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
