We put different mental health topics under the spotlight every few weeks in the hope we can shed light on personal experiences, raise awareness and challenge stigma. The sessions are lead by MHFA England accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructors and sometimes guests with professional or personal experiences in the highlighted topics.

This years theme for Mental Health Awareness Week (9th - 15th May) is Loneliness. Every year millions of people in the UK and around the world are affected by loneliness, and the pandemic exacerbated this. Loneliness is a key driver of mental ill health and can also effect our physical health in more ways than many probably realise. Social connection is not a luxury or a good to have, it is a basic human biological need.
