Suicide Prevention Training

Include text around new ISO guidlines....

Suicide is preventable and with the right skills, confidence, and compassion, anyone can play a part in saving a life. Our suicide prevention training equips people to recognise when someone may be at risk, start a supportive conversation, and connect them to professional help. We offer two trusted and evidence-based options: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Suicide First Aid (SFA), helping individuals and workplaces build confidence to respond when it matters most.

SFA (Suicide First Aid)

An accredited course that builds practical skills to have supportive, safe conversations about suicide. Popular with workplaces and community organisations, it’s a shorter, hands-on option that still covers the essential elements of suicide intervention.

One Day Course

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)

An in-depth course that builds advanced skills in suicide intervention through roleplay and real world practice. Often chosen by frontline and high-risk professions like healthcare, social care, and emergency services, where staff may need to respond to suicide risk more often.

Why Suicide Prevention Matters

Suicide can profoundly affect a person’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being, and the people around them. Many people feel unsure how to respond, often avoiding the conversation out of fear of saying or doing the wrong thing.

Our training breaks through these barriers, equipping participants with practical, evidence-based skills to have supportive conversations, connect someone to help, and respond with confidence and compassion when someone may be at risk.

Around 60% of people say they avoid asking someone if they’re having suicidal thoughts for fear of making things worse — even though research shows that asking directly can actually help and save lives.
