First Aid Trainer
Role Overview:
Salary: £28,000 - £44,000 pro rata (based on qualifications and experience)
Holiday: 25 days per year, increasing by 1 day annually (up to 30 days)
Hours: Full-time permanent role, Monday - Friday 09:00 – 17:00, plus traveling/commuting time as required
Location: UK wide (Field-based, Office, Home, and Online) Head Office is in Bishop's Stortford - CM23
Travel: Element of mileage covered, accommodation and meal allowance where applicable.
Professional Development: £500 CPD budget per year for relevant courses
Equipment: All necessary training materials provided
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver Engaging Training: Facilitate face-to-face and online Mental Health First Aid and awareness courses for diverse audiences.

Host Webinars and Workshops: Lead large and small group webinars, Q&A sessions, and 121 client drop-ins.

Develop Training Content: Create and deliver new short courses on mental health and well-being.

Client Representation: Support the Director at client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

Relationship Management: Nurture relationships with clients, delegates, and suppliers.

Business Support: Various business support tasks including nut not limited to: Providing creative input for product and business development, market research, general office administration.

Administrative Tasks: Complete course-related administrative duties when required

Maintain Standards: Uphold Transpire’s policies and values in all activities.

Essential Skills
-
Current Mental Health First Aid Instructor (Adult) Certification from Mental Health First Aid England
-
Valid UK Driving License (travel required across multiple regions, including: Hertfordshire, Essex, London / Greater London / Surrey / East and West Sussex / Kent / Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire or West Berkshire regularly to deliver training sessions at numerous locations, including overnight stays.)

Experience in Training Delivery: Proven ability to deliver engaging mental health-related training

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to connect with diverse audiences empathetically and effectively

Adaptability: Willingness to travel across the UK and work with both in-person and online platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams)

Passion for Mental Health: Genuine commitment to raising awareness and supporting those with mental health challenges

Commitment to Growth: Enthusiastic about continuous learning and staying current with mental health developments
Desirable Skills
Candidates with the following may be considered for the higher salary bracket:

Qualifications: CIPD certification, registered BACP therapist or equivalent, CIPD coaching and mentoring qualification level 5 or equivalent.

Training Experience: Expertise in topics like neurodiversity, suicide prevention, menopause, financial well-being, or youth mental health

Professional Experience: Occupational Health, Well-being Lead, Training and Development Manager, or Registered Mental Health Nurse

Business Experience: Familiarity with CPD accreditation, project tendering, and bid submissions

Mental Health Support: Experience supporting individuals in various settings with mental health needs
