Business Development Executive

Salary:

Starting basic of £27,000 - £32,000 with a realistic OTE bonus of £5k but uncapped.

Holiday:

25 days per year with an extra day for every year with us, capped at 30 days.

Hours:

8.5 hour work day, with core hours of 9 am – 4 pm.
Example: Work from 8 am – 4:30 pm or 9 pm till 5:30 pm, this is at the Business Development Executive’s discretion on a day-to-day basis excluding occasions when the business needs may dictate that you would need to be available from 9 am or until 5 pm.

Location:

Hybrid working, part home based and part office; office in Bishops Stortford.

Travel:

When required, is fully paid on expenses including mileage, hotel, and food allowances.

Professional Development:

CPD training budget of £500 per year to spend on suitable training courses which relate to your work.

Equipment:

All necessary equipment will be provided.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Director to devise and execute strategies to increase offerings, spend and exclusivity for chosen markets.

  • Nurture and grow existing client accounts.

  • Respond to inbound sales, web, email and phone enquiries.

  • Develop presentations and sales/marketing materials.

  • Represent Transpire alongside the Director at client meetings, partner meetings, exhibitions, and industry/networking events.

  • Provide creative input and practical support to the Director on product and general business development.

  • Nurture relationships with Transpire suppliers and trainers.

  • To assist the director in developing and executing Transpire marketing strategies.

  • Complete general day-to-day running tasks of the business and updating the CRM system.

  • Build a rapport with clients and colleagues.

  • Promote the services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.

  • Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.

  • To always operate in line with Transpire values and implement our policies and standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of all required documentation.

The Person

Transpire is transitioning out of the “start-up” phase and anticipates great progression opportunities. We are looking for someone who is highly adaptable, up for challenge and ultimately ambitious with a desire to help others.

Essential Skills

  • Experienced: Two years or more years’ experience of successful Account Management or full sales cycle experience.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse audiences. Strong presentation skills, both in-person and online. Ability to simplify concepts and communicate ideas effectively.

  • Practical Skills: Solid IT skills and knowledge of necessary software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, virtual meeting platforms and other statistical analysis software. Excellent self-management skills to work independently and as part of a team, using own initiative and being flexible and adaptable.

  • Personal Growth: Keen appetite for self-development and continued learning.

  • Passion for Mental Health: Have a genuine passion and hunger for raising mental health awareness and supporting individuals experiencing poor mental health. Commitment to raising awareness and improving the mental health literacy of the general public.

Desirable Skills

  • Qualifications:In Human Resources or Marketing.

  • Experience: Within Business-to-Business sales. Supporting others with mental health provision in a range of settings.

  • Knowledge: Use of Mailer Lite, Mailchimp, CANVA or other relevant marketing tools. Creative writing.
